After receiving a slew of complaints from iPad pro users, Apple has officially acknowledged the issue which makes the tablet unresponsive after charging.
It was soon after the iPad Pro was launched that a number of users reported to Reddit, and Apple Support Communities forum about their iPad Pro unit becoming unresponsive after charging, rejecting any touch input and other interactions.
“I got my iPad Wednesday, spent the evening getting it all setup. Restored from back up, ensured everything was there, wiped my iPad air 2 (sold it), deleted its back up and went on with my normal routine,” one user wrote.
“At night it was down to 40 percent so I charged it and went to bed. When I woke up it was “dead”. It wouldn’t wake up. I needed to perform a hard reset to get it to come to life. Worked on it for a couple of hours and had to run an errand. Plugged it back in as I was going to need a full charge later that day. Came back to it, same thing. Dead. I needed to perform a hard reset to get it to turn on.”
Taking note of the issue, the Cupertino has posted a brief advisory document called “If your iPad Pro stops responding and the screen is black” on its support website, reported MacRumors .
“Learn what to do if your iPad Pro doesn’t respond when you press buttons or tap on the screen, and the screen is black,” Apple’s post reads.
The iPad maker said that it is currently investigating the issue, but in the meanwhile, users can force restart their iPad if they face the issue. To force restart, users can hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or more until the Apple logo appears onscreen, reported iClarified .
The issue is said to be affecting both 32GB and 128GB variants of Wi-Fi and LTE iPad Pro models running iOS 9.1, according to IBTimes .
