Brazil World Cup 2014 News: FIFA Verdicts Nine-Match Suspension, Four-Month Ban For Uruguay’s Biter Suarez

After Luis Suarez reportedly shamed himself in front of everyone in the Uruguay- Italy match when he bit Italian player Giorgio Chiellini, FIFA has finally released official consequences for the Liverpool’s unbecoming behaviour and discipline.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided that:

His suspension would mean that he would miss this World Cup, as well as the first two months of the next English season. Also, he would have to stay away from Liverpool’s opening Premier Lague and Champions League.

The said amount, 100,000 Swiss Francs, is around $112,000 US dollars.

Nevertheless, the Uruguayans are still proud of their star player. Even Uruguayan President is a fan, as he said, “We didn’t choose him to be a philosopher, or a mechanic, or to have good manners – he’s a great player.”
