It is on between Cameroon and Brazil!
The two teams have both had their share of good and bad performances in their previous matches. However, the hosts still do not look like the Brazil everyone has known and loved. The Cameroons could also perform well, but they uncoordinated and dirty defence system makes their standard of playing a little low.
If Brazil can make it past through Croatia, they can be hailed as the top team for the Group. On the other hand, this is Cameroon’s last chance to verify their football prowess.
The two teams have different goals in mind as they enter this match, but only one thing is in mind: triumph. Who will make their country proud?
Brazil’s opener against Croatia looked like a dirty play, but they still won. The next match against Mexico was an entertaining goalless draw, thanks to Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa. The last two games by Brazil were not top notch, but it is just enough. Most Brazil fans have been disappointed, but they cannot complain.
Perhaps Brazil’s performance will improve now, because the Zenit forward Hulk will be back to the field. Neymar looks great too, as he scored 33 goals out of 51 appearances.
On the other hand, the Cameroon team looked more terrible than their opponent. Even before the opening, the team had experienced financial disputes before boarding their plane. Also, star player Alex Song just plays so unprofessionally. He is caught hitting Mario Mandzukic by his elbow. More recently, Benoit Assou- Ekotto attacked his own teammate, Benjamin Moukandjo, using a forceful and confusing head-butt.
The Cameroon coach Volker Finke is now heavily relying on Samuel Eto rather than Asuo- Ekotto or Song. It is now up to the team whether they want to exit Brazil with proud hearts.
