Devil May Cry Movie News: Is Brad Pitt The Perfect Candidate To Star As Dante? Tom Cruise And Norman Reedus In The Mix As Well?

Devil May Cry Movie News: Nowadays, games have been subject for film adaptations. Not only does it offer interesting storylines, but it also attracts a huge target audience, first being the avid fans of that particular game.

Not many games are given that privilege though, as most games being translated into the big screen are those with a sequel or two. Devil May Cry, definitely fits in to that criteria.

In 2011, the company that gained great success with the Resident Evil franchise, Screen Gems, announced the plans for a Devil May Cry film. Little has been revealed about this plan other than it will be an origin story with the original character style.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Devil May Cry video game series, which is now on its fifth sequel, here’s a brief walkthrough of the first game.

“The series centers on main character Dante’s goal of avenging his mother’s murder by exterminating demons. The gameplay consists of heavy combat scenes in which the player must attempt to extend long chains of attacks while avoiding damage in order to exhibit stylized combat; this element along with time and amount of items collected and used are taken under consideration when grading the player’s performance.”

A series as big as Devil May Cry can boost its popularity even more if casted properly. This series can be considered to be on par with the likes of Resident Evil.

A fan made a video showing plausible actors who can play the role of Dante. In this video, he included Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Norman Reedus which many fans might agree with.
