It looks like there would be a decrease in Filipino gamers for Dota 2 and LoL (League of Legends) because some Filipino lawmakers are going to make sure that Dota 2 and LoL would be banned in Philippine Internet Cafés!

According to reports, some of the lawmakers in the city of Markina and Manila are working to together to draft out a law that would prohibit internet cafés in the Philippines from allowing their patrons to play Dota 2 and LoL in their shop.

This is due to fact that a number of parents complained that the games would interfere with the schooling of the children and that there has been a number of reports of violence that were attributed to the games, especially Dota/Dota 2 such as when a child was stabbed over 40 times due to alleged Dota 2 account hacking

(read our report about it here) or when a teenager killed his grandmother for interrupting his game

(read our report about it here). Not to mention this brawl that happened inside an Internet Café in Manila that was attributed to Dota.
