Screenrant.com features topic about G.I Joe 3 release date which says the movie will definitely be launched in 2016 with the new mix and twist. And moreover, Duke could come back.
From the previous post of Screenrant, the major cause of delay of G.I. Joe Retaliation release is the death of Duke in the movie and the test screening had ranged from “mediocre to bad” .
So the film production of Retaliation expanded Duke’s role, which is good news for his fans and his agent.
The film left the viewers hanging with a question if Channing’s role is already over. Now, the franchise movie will continue with an incredible twist and comeback of some actors, and they’ve convinced Paramount to have another installment.
The Retaliation director is Jon Chu and he will still direct the third instalment. In a recent interview, the
director said that Duke played by Channing will have a comeback in the movie and he might seemingly meet his death in a Cobra ambush isn’t an impossible thing in the G.I. Joe world.
Moreover, according to some sources, Chu says that the third film expects the returning characters and “exciting” newcomers. This statement created a lot of speculations about who will be in G.I. Joe 3. Additionally, the director also said the new film will definitely in 3D.
Though bringing back Duke is less important in the point of view of Paramount, the fact that Channing Tatum has hit the movie big is undeniable. His presence from the Rise of Cobra days, and having him share headlining status with Dwayne Johnson has contributed to be a box office draw.
