“What If” Star Daniel Radcliffe girlfriend Erin Darke have taken the red carpet at the Tony Awards looking mighty cozy.
Daniel showed off his dapper side in a custom Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo and Erin was glam in a classic blue gown.
The Cripple of Inishmaan actor and the We Need to Talk About Kevin actress flashed big smiles and wrapped their arms around each other on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall.
Relationship rumors have surrounded these two since they costarred in Kill Your Darlings. In 2012, the Harry Potter star and then-girlfriend Rosie Coker called it quits.
Radcliffe is having quite the magical night-not only did the rumored couple wow on the carpet together, his production of The Cripple of Inishmaan is up for six Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Play.
However, things are perhaps less magical for Harry Potter fans of late. In May the actor shot down rumors of a Hogwarts reunion. He also cleared up some engagement rumors. When asked if he had plans of heading down the aisle soon, the actor responded, “No! Absolute bollocks. Absolute bollocks.”
A new romantic comedy is coming in August, and it’s Daniel Radcliffe’s first. “What If” stars Radcliffe and Adam Driver (“Girls”) and Zoe Kazan (“Ruby Sparks”) – sort of a hipster rom-com like “500 Days of Summer” or “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.”
Radcliffe plays Wallace, and Driver is his roommate. Wallace falls in love with his roommate’s cousin, Chantry, played by Kazan. Of course, Chantry has a boyfriend, and this subsequently results in Wallace getting punched in the face. Oh, and there’s a deadline because Chantry gets offered a job in Taiwan. It’s pretty well-worn territory – as plots go, if this one was a pair of shoes, the soles would be nonexistent – but it’s got some good lines.
“In fairy tales, love inspires you to be noble and courageous,” Wallace says. “But in real life, love is just an all-purpose excuse for selfish behavior.” If nothing else, “What If” should be good for “Harry Potter” fans looking to salivate over the Chosen One himself.
