Jennifer Hudson Instagram: ‘Dream Girls’ Star Shows Off Beach Bod In Mexico; ‘I Work Hard, I Deserve It!’

“Dream Girls” star, Jennifer Hudson showed off her beach body in a yellow bikini on an Instagram post. She also added the caption, “It would take Mexico to get me to play on the beach! I’m so not that girl! But I work hard, I deserve it right! Plus, I earned it!”

The Instagram post consisted of the singer in three different poses put together in a collage. According to Daily Mail, Hudson famously shed nearly 80 lbs and has maintained her figure for four years.

She started her weight loss journey after the birth of her son, David, in 2009. She famously went from a size 16 to a size 6 through the help of Weight Watchers.

Despite working with Weight Watchers for four years, the singer recently parted ways with the company. She posted her statement on her Twitter, writing, “Sometimes you have to step back and let your work speak for you, and when that doesn’t work you walk away knowing you did your best…It’s been fun and a pleasure good luck to you all. @WeightWatchers.”

The singer-actress confessed in an interview with Self magazine that she didn’t know she was plus-sized until a reporter asked her point-blank about it. She said her size 16 body was a normal look in her Chicago neighborhood but in Hollywood, she stood out.

The former Weight Watchers ambassador also revealed that she had tried losing weight three different times-the first time happened prior to her American Idol stint in 2004. This time, however, was different. Instead of depriving herself of what she wants to eat, Hudson said she controls the amount of food she intakes.

After four years of working hard for a healthier body, Hudson believes she deserves to show it off by wearing a two-piece swimsuit. The American Idol finalist even told Daily Mail: “I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar! I hope it has inspired people.”
