Katy Perry met Hillary Clinton at a reception before Clinton’s book signing at Barnes & Noble at The Grove shopping centre in Los Angeles on Thursday June 19.
The ‘Roar’ singer shared the moment with her 5.5 million Instagram followers by posting a photo of the two of them together with the message, “I told @hillaryclinton that I would write her a “theme” song if she needs it.” She also spread the news on Twitter. Will Perry write a presidential theme song for Clinton?
The Ready For Hillary super PAC, which is raising funds in case Clinton makes a White House run, debuted a video in March featuring images of the politician accompanied by Perry’s hit song, “Roar” according to the Daily Mail. So it may not be totally out of the question!
The ‘Roar’ singer recently showed off her bleached eyebrows, following in the bizarre style footsteps of Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus. Chloë Sevigny, Beth Ditto, and Kendall Jenner have also been seen sporting the strange fashion trend.
Aside from her new bleached eyebrows, Perry also had big news earlier this week on Tuesday, announcing the launch of her record label, which is officially called Metamorphosis Music, a joint venture with her current label, Capitol Records.
The ‘Roar’ singer also announced that the first artist on her label is Jordanian-American singer-songwriter Ferras who will also be touring with her on her Prismatic World Tour this summer. Perry also makes a guest appearance on hsi song “Legends Never Die.”
