Lauren Scruggs, the
editor who lost her left hand and eye to a plane propeller accident, said yes when correspondent Jason Kennedy proposed. The fashion blogger then posted a photo announcing the night of the engagement the best of her life.
According to , Jason Kennedy travelled to Lauren Scruggs hometown in Dallas to surprise her with the proposal in front of their families and very close friends.
“Scruggs walked out to her balcony that overlooked a field where Kennedy had spelled out ‘Will you marry me’ with candles,” the website reported.
Jason Kennedy then presented her with a diamond engagement ring designed by Jennifer Meyer.
“It’s a blur but I can’t stop smiling. She told me I couldn’t surprise her, but I got her good. This is the best night of my life,” Jason Kennedy told
Lauren Scruggs announced the engagement in her own Instagram account calling it “possibly the best night of my life.” Jason Kennedy also posted the photo of him standing at the foot of the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME” composed of lighted candles in announcing their engagement.
The earlier estimated that Lauren Scruggs and Jason Kennedy have been dating since July last year.
During that time, the two lovebirds have been posting on their respective social media accounts of being together while attending Recycle Across America benefit, celebrating Lauren Scruggs’ birthday on a yacht with friends on July 18, as well as a trip to New York City.
