Nigerian singer Adokiye Kyrian made a call to offer virginity to Nigerian kidnapping group Boko Haram who abducted almost 300 school girls in April. She even said that she is more “experienced” than the young girls who might be serving as sex slaves.
Adokiye, who is also as UN Ambassador of Peace, offered her virginity to Boko Haram, in exchange of the hundreds of schoolgirls that were kidnapped in Christian north-eastern town of Chibok.
“This is 11pm in the night and do you know what I am thinking about? Those little girls, where they are and what could be happening to them,” the 23-year-old singer told newspaper about the Nigerian kidnapping.
Nigerian singer Adokiye said, “It is just unfair. They are too young. I wish I could offer myself in exchange.”
The pop singer also noted that the almost 300 kidnapped girls are between 12-15 years old and they might be serving as sex slaves for the kidnappers, the reported.
“They are between 12 and 15 year old girls for Christ sake. I am older and more experienced. Even if 10 to 12 men have to take me every night, I don’t care. Just release these girls and let them go back to their parents,” she said.
The Abubakar Shekau-led Boko Haram Nigerian kidnapping group has gained worldwide attention after the incident. It has led to the campaign #BringBackOurGirls which has been supported by US First Lady Michelle Obama and other prominent individuals.
But for Nigerian singer Adokiye, speculations in social media emerged that the pop star might just want some popularity and is riding in the waves of the current issue.
“The Nigerian artist who says she’ll give her virginity if they bring the girls back took attention seeking to another level,” a tweet by Siyabonga Nyezi said.
Meanwhile, said that the Boko Haram group moved to Sambisa Forest after snakes and bees attacked their hideout according to two gunmen who were arrested recently.
