Samsung Chrome 2 Release Date, Price, Rumors 2014: The latest rumor on the Chrome 2 release date from Samsung was that the Google OS-based notebook was shipping about a month later, but it is currently available for pre-order.
However, a betanews inquiry into the matter led nowhere as Samsung’s PR people had no explanation for the delay: ‘Is there a production problem? Are the changes part of some broader marketing strategy, where later timing makes more sense to Samsung? Something else?’ These are all appropriate guesses, particularly if you’re planning to switch from a high-end PC to a low powered Chromebook.
Initially planned for an April launch, the Korean electronics giant has turned the clock back about a month or so later for the Samsung Chrome 2 Release Date. Currently, rumors on the Net say that the exact date is undisclosed.
“The new models, available in 11.6- and 13.3-inch configurations, improve on the popular Samsung Chromebook line with faster performance, longer battery life and a slim, light build enhanced by a durable textured lid and elegant stitched design. The 13.3-inch model also features a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution screen, enabling users to enjoy vibrant visuals for work, teaching and learning, and entertainment”, Samsung touts about the Chrome 2.
Chromebooks are hotly anticipated in the U.S. and Canada and abroad. It is also a handy tool in schools for hands on
teaching at a cost that is a fraction of more powerful PCs. Both Samsung and Acer are early supporters of Google Chrome OS. The Chrome 2 models are the fourth iteration. The HD screen on the 13.3 inch is exclusive to the current Chromebook, except for the Google Pixel from Google, which goes for a whopping $900.
Paul Brannen, Senior VP, Enterprise, Mobile Solutions, Samsung Canada said in a newswire report, “Following the success of our first Chromebook, which will continue into 2014, we are excited to be launching these three new Chromebook 2 models that improve on all of the design and performance elements that Canadians loved about our first iteration and enable users to Play More, Do More, Share More.”
