Some favorite k-drama stars celebrate birthdays in June. It’s an especially good month to celebrate the birthdays of idols turned actors. JYJ’s Park Yoochun will turn a year older this month and so will Kim Hyun Joong. CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa will turn 25 and Bi Rain turns 32.
And then there’s favorite actor and singer Lee Min Ho.
Here’s how this month’s birthdays break down.
June 1. Lee Jang Woo, last seen in “Pretty Man” turned 29 on June 1.
June 4. Kim So Hyun, currently in “Triangle” and soon to appear in “Reset” with Chun Jung Myung, will turn 15. She was in four dramas last year, including “I Hear Your Voice” and “The Suspicious Housekeeper.”
She shares a birthday with Park Yoochun, who was last seen in the thriller “Three Days” and last year played a detective in “Missing You.”
June 5. Yoo In Na, who played Jun Ji Hyun’s frenemy in “You Who Came From The Stars” and is the host of “Get It Beauty” turns 32 this year.
June 6. Kim Hyun Joong, who played the tough street fighter Shin Jung Tae in “Inspiring Generation” and last year released the album “Unbreakable,” will celebrate his birthday on June 6.
June 7. T-ara member Park Ji Yeon, last seen in “Dream High 2,” turns 21.
June 11. Hallyu star Choi Ji Woo starred last year in “The Suspicious Housekeeper.” She turns 39.
June 22: Lee Min Ho scored a big hit last year playing Kim Tan in the series “The Heirs.” And he’s about to star in his first film “Gangnam Blues.” If he’s looking for someone to celebrate with, he can get together with his former “Boys Over Flowers” co-star Kim Hyun Joong for some birthday cake.
June 22 must be one lucky day for k-drama and k-pop fans as it’s also Jung Yong Hwa’s birthday. The CNBLUE singer appeared in “Future’s Choice” last year with Yoon Eun Hye. He’s currently considering a role in “Three Musketeers” with Lee Jin Wook.
June 25. Bi Rain is a Hallyu star and a Hollywood star as he filmed “The Prince” this year with Bruce Willis. He also released some successful records, proving that he is still “30 Sexy.”
June 28. Lee Min Ho-I, not to be confused with Lee Min Ho, appeared in “The Blade and the Petal” last year and also in “The Prime Minister and I.” He turns 21.
June 29. Han Ji Hye, who appeared in “Beyond the Clouds” this year. Last year she was seen in “I Summon You Gold” turns 30 this month.
Happy birthday k-drama stars! We hope to see more of you in the coming year.
