The Spawn movie reboot teaser is going to be shown at the San Diego Comic Con 2014 if the reports are to be believed.
As reported by movie news site Screenrant, The Spawn movie reboot is a project that’s been talked about for many years. It seems that Spawn could be the R-rated anti-hero to lead the comic book bad boy revolution, as McFarlane says that he’s set deadlines to turn in a script by the end of the year, and to begin filming in 2014.
In an interview with The Gate, Todd McFarlane admitted that what has recently been slowing down the Spawn movie reboot development is his own preoccupation, rather than lack of interest from studios or financiers. Ever since Jamie Foxx, who will soon be starring as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, admitted at the San Diego Comic Con 2013 that he is actively pursuing the lead role in the Spawn movie reboot, the weight of an Oscar-winning actor has been on Spawn’s side. All that McFarlane needs to do now is finish the script and in a report by the Comic Central City, he has.
Comic Central City reported that the script to the Spawn movie reboot is done and it has been given the greenlight to start shooting this year and Jamie Foxx is now in negotiations to play Al Simmons.
It can be expected to see a Spawn movie reboot teaser at the San Diego Comic Con 2014, but don’t expect any actual footage from the Spawn movie reboot teaser as Comic Central City notes that the teaser could very well be just the logo reveal of the Spawn movie reboot.
