“The Fault in Our Stars” actor Ansel Elgort has inked the lead role in the “Van Cliburn” biopic as he insisted that co-star Shailene Woodley has not been putting up a front when talking to the media.
In a report by , “The Fault in Our Stars” actor Ansel Elgort is set to play Harvey Lavan Cliburn Jr., an American piano prodigy who won the First Quadrennial International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in 1958.
The movie is an adaptation of “Van Cliburn,” a biographical novel by Howard Reich. The 20-year-old will play the piano prodigy during his earlier years.

According to , the “Divergent” actor “does know his way around a piano” as he graduated from LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts.
Meanwhile, the actor spoke with where he weighed in on his “The Fault in Our Stars” co-star Shailene Woodley.
“[Shailene Woodley] is honest with people, there’s no BS and she’s not fake, she’s a real friend because of that to me,” he said. “I learned a lot about her because she’s so open. She’s a totally open soul to me and I’m a totally open soul to her.”
He also revealed that “The Fault in Our Stars” likes to playfully hit those who are close to her.
“I learned that about Shailene–that she would slap me if I was bad! And I really liked it,” he said.
