Uncharted 4 Release Date might not get announced at E3 after all. Uncharted 4, apparently, is really having a tough time internally. Even though Naughty Dog and Sony promised that this highly anticipated fourth sequel to arrive on time, the wildfire on key personnel leaving the production team is worrying.
Months ago, the series writer, Amy Hennig walked out of Naughty Dog. Her derparture truly saddens the fans with many speculating that Amy was forced out by new additions, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley.
Both individuals were part of The Last of Us team which have been drafted to Uncharted 4’s production. Of course, they were denying the speculations.
However, more departures tell hints otherwise. Before Hennig, things started to get into a stir when Uncharted 3’s game director, Justin Richmond, left to join Riot Games. The eye brows started rising by itself when Last Of Us’ lead artist, Nate Wells, left its team too.
It didn’t end there. The voice actor on Uncharted 4’s teaser trailer also faced the axe. Todd Stashwick confirmed that he was not included in the game’s production. Another known individual that has made their exit are Knowland.
Both Naughty Dog and Sony can deny these allegations all they want but it can’t hide the obvious conflicts happening behind closed doors. At least, that is what the fans believe. To gamers, what matters most is the quality of Uncharted 4. The game’s debut can still be achieved on time but gamers don’t believe that it will be at that quality level with its predecessors.
Fans can consider it like a movie. Who would like it the storyline changed halfway through due to a swapping in the production team? It will simply kill it. As such, Uncharted 4 is not expected to have a smooth sail to its debut.
