40-year-old fashion designer Victoria Beckham showed off her daughter, Harper’s artwork to the world on June 18. The youngest Beckham seems to be following her mother’s footsteps, as evidenced by the detailed design that her “proud mummy” posted on Twitter.
The mother of four spent a quality afternoon with her two-year-old daughter amidst her busy schedule. The fashionable little girl’s creation was inspired by the “Sticker Dolly Dressing Fashion Designer Spring Collection.” Beckham also took a snapshot of the book and posted it on Twitter, calling it Harper’s favorite book.
The toddler put together a woman with a peach floral blouse, topping it off with some stylish denim dungarees. The paper woman also had purple high heels in her hand. The designer-in-training’s mother gushed about her daughter’s first ever creation, posting the collage with the caption, “Look at Harper’s artwork!! I’m such a proud mummy!! X vb.”
According to Daily Mail, Mrs. Beckham juggles spending quality time with her daughter and working hard for her latest collection.
She told the publication, ‘As much as I take what I do very seriously, I also want to have fun. I like to poke fun at myself… And I think that surprises people.’
She added, “People are probably surprised that I have a sense of humour. I like to take the mickey out of myself.”
Beckham has won the Best Emerging Luxury Brand at the 2011 Walpole Awards and Designer Brand of the Year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards with her label. Despite her success, she insists that she doesn’t want to compete against other companies. The hardworking mother and fashion designer will be gracing the cover of Elle Singapore’s July issue. In an interview with the magazine, the former Spice Girl member said, “I want to make a woman feel her best. I want to empower women.”
