It has been a great year for k-drama couples. There have been so many confirmed and rumored relationships that we created a timeline for the k-drama couple loveline.
Not every month had an announcement of dating, wedding or engagement news, but the romance continued all year long.

January: In January the rumors began circulating that actress Min Hyo Rin was dating Big Bang’s Taeyang. Min Hyo Rin, who appeared in the film “Twenty” and the drama “Perseverance Goo Hae Ra,” was the girl in his “Eyes, Nose, Lips” music video. By July YG Entertainment confirmed the relationship.
“We confirmed the two actors are seeing each other with good feelings. They got close through shooting ads together and began dating after recently developing good feelings for each other. Please look upon them warmly so the two actors may continue their relationship and cheer each other on as colleagues and lovers in the future.”
February: Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin met in February when they did a Giordano campaign and began dating in May. They tried to date secretly but the Korean media outlet Dispatch reported that he picked her up at her home for dates and that the two enjoyed car rides together. in July Shin Min Ah, 31 and Kim Woo Bin, 26, confirmed they were dating.
March: Ryu Seung Won, last seen in “The Eccentric Daughter-in-law” and Park Ha Sun, who appeared in “Three Days” announced they were dating. The couple met when they played a couple in the thriller “Two Weeks,’ but they did not start dating for another year.
May was also the month that Lee Min Ho and miss A’s Suzy Bae confirmed they were dating. Their agencies confirmed the rumors after the two were spotted in London and Paris at the same time. Break-up rumors began circulating in September but the stars’ agencies denied the rumors and said the couple was still going strong.
May: Bae Yong Joon of “Winter Sonata” fame and Park Soo Jin, who played Park Shin Hye’s frenemy in “Flower Boys next Door,” surprised quite a few fans in May when they announced their engagement and plans for a fall wedding. Then they surprised fans again when they married in July, a few months ahead of schedule.
May was also the month when actors Won Bin and Lee Na Young tied the knot in a private countryside wedding. The couple began dating in 2012 and only confirmed their relationship in 2013 after they were outed by photos published in Dispatch.
July: In July, k-drama fans learned that actor Lee Dong Gun was dating T-ara’s Ji Yeon. The couple was not eager to reveal their relationship but once they were spotted dining together, they had to confess. They met when they worked together on the set of a Korean-Chinese production. His agency confirmed that they had feelings for one another and were spending time together.
December: Actor Lee Hee Joon announced his plans to marry model Lee Hye Jung. The couple confirmed they were dating in August when they were spotted at a musical performance. They met at a dinner arranged by friends. The ceremony is set for April. Lee Hee Joon appeared in the drama “Yoona’s Street” and the award-winning film “Sea Fog.”
December update: As of December 8 we can also officially add Hwang Jung Eum and pro golfer Lee Young Don to the list. The couple has apparently been dating for four months.
And what was the top dating rumor in 2015? It concerned Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk.
The “Pinocchio” stars were rumored to be dating as they were photographed together at various times and they displayed lots of chemistry during the filming of their drama. Park Shin Hye admitted she was dating someone in January but never said who. Both stars’ agencies denied that the stars were dating each other but the rumors did not die down. The couple recently attended the 2015 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards and both went on stage at the same time. This only proves they were co-stars.
